Thailand Vietnam Socio Economic Panel (TVSEP) Project by SAPP Member Javier Revilla Diez Receives Funding for Third Phase by German Research Fundation (DFG)
The Thailand Vietnam Socio Economic Panel (TVSEP) aims to promote research on topics such as long-term welfare dynamics, rural-urban and urban-rural migration, agricultural transformation, intergenerational aspects of households, and the long-term impacts of shocks in rapidly transforming rural Thailand and Vietnam. The data is made accessible to the international research community free of charge.
„Sharing a Planet in Peril“ (SAPP) member Javier Revilla Diez is one of the Principal Investigators in the project, alsongside Ulrike Grote, Krisztina Kis-Katos, and Trung Thanh Nguyen.
The 3rd phase of the TVSEP project will run from April 2024 to April 2027 (3 years). This includes funding for two further household survey waves (planned to take place in 2024 and 2026), a village survey, and one migrant tracking survey (2025). Moreover, the project plans to provide a composite core panel by the end of this period to make it more accessible to external users.
